Postmodernity And Christianity Links

What follows is just a selection from my 'Favorites' folder. A little surfing will take you to many more.

Cedar Ridge Community Church - A congregation in Maryland, USA set up to link Jesus with postmodern people. Led by Brian McLaren: check out his books at Amazon.

Christian Life Center, Santa Cruz - A Californian congregation that also has a fundamental concern for postmoderns. Good website, too.

Connect Bible Studies - Tools for biblical reflection on popular culture. See also Damaris Trust.

Counter Culture - Writing on family, work, zeitgeist, politics and bioethics (set up by CARE Trust).

Damaris Trust - Relates Christian faith and contemporary culture. Articles, reviews, discussion board, etc.

Emergent Village - A community begun by a group of younger American leaders, eager to re-imagine church for postmodernity.

E-vangelism.com - Andrew Careaga's site for promoting ways of sharing Christian faith on the Internet.

Graceway Baptist Church - A church in New Zealand set up with an explicitly postmodern approach to faith.

Holy Space - A sanctuary for debate and encounter along the spiritual journey for all seekers.

Jordon Cooper - Canadian pastor who has some useful reflections on this subject.

Kairos - church from scratch - A Baptist congregation in south London, led by Rob Warner. See his book '21st Century Church'.

Leonard Sweet - One of the most important American commentators.

Next Reformation - Quality online journalism from a professional who cares.

Next Wave - Christian thinking and debate about postmodernity.

Off-The-Map - Site run by Christian practitioners of engagement with postmodern culture.

Phuture - As they say of themselves, 'Serving the Second Reformation'.

Rejesus - A site that represents Jesus to enquirers by a variety of artistic and media approaches.

Sanctuary Church - A congregation based in Santa Monica, California, set up by a converted former AC/DC roadie.

Seven Magazine - Well worth a read.

Ship of Fools - My favourite site on the Web. Humour and serious commentary for those frustrated by church as we know it. A refuge.

The Ooze Community - 'Conversation for the journey' is their description. Brilliant site.

Vurch.com - A 'virtual church'? That's what they claim to be.

Zacharias Trust - Christian apologetics organisation
